I need to know how many are interested in attending the 4th of July Parade in Beavercreek, Ohio this year. The reason I am sending this out now is because we need to respond before our next meeting. This is an opportunity to get some exposure in the Dayton area for our group. The parade will be held on the 4th of July and will begin @ 1800. (we need to be in place by 1700) It will begin at the intersection of Meadowbridge Rd. and Dayton-Xenia Rd. (Shoup Park) and will end at the Beavercreek High School (about 1.2 miles). Immediately afterwards there are food and games with the fireworks beginning @ 2200. I need to turn in the paperwork within the next two weeks so please give me a response soon so I can give the parade chairperson the number of attendees for our parade position. This is a chance to give back to our northern members that drive to the Cincinnati and Northern Ky area for meetings and events

Thanks,
Gregg Dunn

1) Friday May 24 beginning @ 1000 will be the Veterans Memorial dedication in Colerain Township, Cincinnati. Location is on the corner of Colerain Ave. and Springdale Rd. (Northgate Mall) We are showing off the Cincinnati float so hopefully we will get some new member interest and draw interest for the USS Cincinnati project.

2) Sunday May 26 is our Tolling of the Boats Ceremony at the World Peace Bell in Newport, KY. Starting time is 1130, I would like everyone to be in place by 1100. I would also like to ask if anyone would like to bring a cooler with cold bottles of water for everyone in attendance. (the more the better, Thanks!)

3) On Monday, May 27 Memorial Day we are showing off our float in the Hamilton County Memorial Day Parade in Cheviot, Ohio (west side of Cincinnati) We need to be in place on Francis Ave. by 1000 to start the parade. I will send our more details as I get them from the parade committee.

LT Michael Murphy, US Navy SEAL, was awarded our Country's highest military decoration, the Medal Of Honor, posthumously on October 22, 2007 for distinguishing himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in action against an enemy of the United States.
It is with great humility, that I have the honor of chairing the Cincinnati ceremony and book signing of SEAL OF HONOR Operation Red Wings And The Life Of LT Michael Murphy. This event will be taking place at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland on May 18th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. Cost of attendance is $65, which includes the book which you can have signed by the Murphy Family and the author, beverages, hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to meet several active and retired SEALs and other military professionals.
The Master of Ceremonies is Brian Thomas from 55KRC and guests include the parents of LT. Murphy, Keith Maupin, Congressman Steve Chabot, Brigadier General Anthony Tata and Navy SEAL Captain Paul Wikul. It is with sincere hope, that 350 grateful Americans will attend this event showing their support to the Murphy Family. LT Michael Murphy made the ultimate sacrifice for his Country and for us. Please contact me to attend. Please feel free to forward this email to all your friends and family.
This is a reservation only event and I can be reached at 513.739.2181 or Kimberly.Wolfert@Yahoo.com
