USSVI Cincinnati Base Meeting Minutes July 23, 2005 SUBJECT: Subvets Monthly Meeting LOCATION & TIME: Brownsway VFW ATTENDED: President Dick Young Vice President Tim Rich Teasurer Dick Hauck Secretary David Wiesmann TOPICS OF DISCUSSION: Acceptance of minutes for previous meeting (secretary report) None read-- Picnic Motioned: Seconded: Treasurer Report Ending Amount : $2244.10 Motioned: Ken Seconded: Bill Membership Total: Welcome: New Members and Guests National Convention 2010 Brief Summary currently the only Base bidding as of 7/19 Hotel, Drawbridge Inn Capacity is 900 28 meeting rooms free can supply own liquor Contingency plan is to bus to Turfway 150 letters have been mailed to Base Commanders, Regional Directors and Officers Volunteers are needed to man the booth @ this years convention Expenses incurred thus far $109.00 on TV/DVD combo The Drawbridge Inn and KY Bureau have also incurred some expenses Current projects underway Painting the submarines underside red instead of orange and putting the rudder on Making a "Christmas Tree" to be used at this years presentation at the convention Dick will be towing the Sub to the convention and the base will pay 50% of his fuel costs and oil change Motioned Ken Seconded Bill Base Store Information and Other Store Information: www.Subshipstore.com/subvettes.html www.submarinestore.com/vettes.htm New Business: Columbus August 6th Banquet cost $20.00 Awards, Holland Club Dues need to start being paid in September for the 2006 season October meeting is the joint meeting with Indi chicken luncheon/dinner December 11th is the Christmas Party at Jim and Jacks Elections for Base Officers will be in 2006 Pre- order calendars by August 20th Family picnic would there be a better location?
