USSVI  CINCINNATI  BASE  MEMBERSHIP  MEETING

February 24, 2007                 12:00  Noon

 *   Call to Order by Commander, Roger  Crombie.  Prayer by John Barker, followed by the

          Pledge of  Allegiance to Our Flag.

 *   Tolling of Lost Boats : Amber Jet 74, Shark, Trout 

 *   Eternal Patrol notice read for Albert ligenfritz.  

 *   Motion to dispense with reading of January minutes made by John Barker, 2^nd. By Ted  

          Campbell, motion carried.

 *   Treasurer’s  Report :  Dick Hauck reported  balance of  $ 2, 527.66.  Motion to accept made

          by Dale Gudrof, 2^nd. by Dave Self, motion carried.

*    Personal Introductions  16 Members present and 3 SubVettes.

*    Newsletter  Report  By David Self.  Next issue of Newsletter will be e-mailed to those who

          we have an e-mail address for.  Others will go by Snail Mail ( U. S. P.).

*    Web  Page  Report :  David Ashley  (Absent )

*    Sick  Call :  Nothing to report

*    Old  Business :  a) Search by Daryl Beiter for meeting places.   Next meeting (March ) will be at

           Paul Vail VFW Post 4369, located at 3318 E. Sharon Rd.    A motion to move the April

           Meeting to the 3^rd weekend was made by Dick Hauck, 2^nd. by Sam Powell, motion carried.

           therefore the meeting will be at Middletown VFW Post 2809 on April 21^st. at Noon.

*    SubVettes :  We will hav a meeting with the right after our meeting, to discuss the future of

           their group.  See what they have decided to do, hand in charter or revive their group. 

*    Tolling of the Bells :  May 27^th ( Memorial  Weekend).  Had a discussion of plans and what is needed.

          Tim  Franz, possible speaker.  Late lunch at Hof  Brau House after ?

*    New  Business :  a)  Next month need Convention Planner to give report on where we stand.

            Really need to get moving on this, 2010 will be here before we know it.   b)  Joint meeting

           with Indianapolis Base is in October.   c)  Christmas Party 2007 – still interested in Jim &

           Jacks, need to have reservations made in August.  d) Reds Game, looking at a time, Maybe  

           on  a Saturday, an evening game.  Dick Young checking on arrangements.  e)  If anyone

           needs a ride to our meetings, call Roger Crombie or Dick Young.   They will try to find

           someone that lives close to you.   f )  Birthday Party and Ball – Lodging $ 74.00 a night –

           on April 28, 2007,  Zion, Ill. – Cost $34.00/ includes Food & Dance – RSVP by March 7^th.

g)     C P O A for future members.  h)  Split the Pot won by Brad Jensen - $ 47.00

          Storekeepers  Report :  Ted Campbell said he has new Patches available at $ 5.00 each.  He

          is looking into items for 2010 Convention.

*    Closing Prayer :  given by John Barker.  Motion to close meeting was made by Joe Roszmann,

      2^nd by John Barker.  Meeting adjourned.
