FCC (SW) Aaron C. Moore, son of Mr. & Mrs. Connie Moore
(Jane) of Middletown- Oxford Rd., Middletown, Ohio is presently serving on
the USS BULKELEY DDG - 84. His home port is Norfolk, Va. Aaron has served
his country in the US Navy for 19 years. Aaron is a 1986 Madison High
School Graduate and he joined the Navy in August of 1987. He served on the
USS SAN JACINTO CG-56, and then went on to serve as an Instructor for
Harpoon Cruise Missiles at Fleet Training Center Atlantic from 1993 to
1996. He then served on the USS ANZIO CG-68 from 1996 to September 2001.
He then served at Fleet CSOSS. (CSOSS is Combat Systems Operational
Sequencing System, which is a comprehensive collection of procedures,
diagrams and guidance for the operation of combat systems equipment, in both
normal and causality configurations.) The Ship (Bulkeley) departed on,
January 20, 2004 for the Persian Gulf. They were part of the USS George
Washington Battle Group. They were deployed for approx. 8 - 9 months.
Aaron served in “Dessert Shield” – “Operation Dessert Storm” and “The Iraq
War against Terrorist”. Aaron is still serving on the USS BULKELEY DDG -
84. They were re-deployed (2nd deployment to Iraq) to Iraq on June 8, 2006
for approximately 6 to 7 months. Our Son truly believes in what he is doing
and is very proud of his service to this country. Upon his return from Iraq
he plans to re-enlist for three more years, and will serve again as an
Instructor for the US Navy. This will give him a total of 23 years of
service to his Country, before his retirement back to civilian life.
